We’re excited to host a special networking event, Have Your Cake and Eat It Too, right here at Autumn View Gardens Creve Coeur on Friday, February 16th, from 5:30-6:30PM. In addition to enjoying some sweet treats (which everyone deserves in the middle of winter), visitors will have the chance to meet and mingle with our senior care professionals, including our Executive Director Becky Pennick and our Health Services Director, Catherine Archie, LPN.
We hope you’ll join us and find out more about our mission of inspired service—and what we’re doing to make an impact on our residents, their families, and the community we serve. Here’s a little bit about Catherine, and what she enjoys most about our senior living community.
Catherine Archie loves the rich flavor of brownies — and anything chocolate. As Health Services Director at Autumn View Gardens, Catherine hopes residents experience a flavor of home and “inspired care.” For Catherine, that means “doing the right thing, for the right reason, all of the time.”
Inspired care is one of the distinctive characteristics of our community and our parent organization, Bethesda Senior Living Communities (BSLC), which offers thriving, faith-based assisted living services within the familiar intimacy of small communities.
“Inspired care is putting your best foot forward, not for praises, but because there are so many people’s lives that you could add value and significance to,” Catherine explained.
At BSLC, neighbors become friends, and our team embodies our mission of selfless service to empower social, spiritual and physical health of our residents. As a not-for-profit organization BSLC supports philanthropy in our local community and around the world.
Catherine came to Autumn View Gardens after helping another community begin a Memory Care Unit. She said that was an inspiring project and enjoyed being part of the process from start to finish.
For those researching assisted living communities, Catherine advised, “Do your research and visit several communities. Be realistic about your loved one’s needs and assure the community you choose can meet their needs.”
She says Autumn View Gardens is a great choice because “we assess each of our residents to ensure that our community can meet their needs, and we strive to provide them with a great quality of life.”
